Critical media relations - no problem

Merely mention the word "journalist" and the corporate world often shivers. There is a great deal of mistrust of journalists' motives and tactics outside the closed media community.

When a journalist calls with a negative story, many organisations panic and throw their communications rule book out of the window. Even PR agencies struggle to balance their need for good relations (and good coverage) with their need to protect their clients.

At Partner PR, we talk the journalist's language. We don't panic under fire. We know every media trick in the book. And we know how to encourage a journalist to move a story elsewhere or to drop a story altogether.

When one of our clients was subject to a six-week undercover investigation by a team of journalists from a national Sunday tabloid newspaper, we prevented publication.

When a national newspaper published an article making a number of incorrect and damaging allegations about a client's business activities, we obtained an immediate and prominent correction and apology.

Partner PR fully understands media complaint procedures and is prepared to use them to defend its clients. We work with the country's leading media litigators and firmly believe that we have a duty to tackle sub-standard journalism.
